The HJC i71 Niel helmet delivers a sharp blend of innovation, comfort, and everyday practicality for riders who expect more from their gear. HJC redesigned the ventilation system with a repositioned top vent and expanded mouth vents that actively pull air through the helmet. This layout boosts airflow and improves ventilation dynamics, helping riders stay cool and focused in changing conditions.
The face shield uses an enhanced Push/Eject locking mechanism that riders can operate easily, even with gloves on. This system increases safety while keeping usability front and center. The shield lock engages with a confident push-and-release action that feels secure at speed. For bright rides, the integrated sun visor adds serious versatility. Riders can choose from three positions and slide the visor up to 10 mm forward to fine-tune sun protection and reduce eye strain.
HJC builds the i71 around an advanced polycarbonate composite shell that keeps weight low without sacrificing strength. This lightweight shell improves overall comfort and supports a superior fit for long rides. Inside, the anti-bacterial fabric liner actively wicks moisture and dries quickly, keeping the interior fresh. Riders can remove and wash both the crown and cheek pads, making maintenance simple and convenient.
The dynamic multi-step sun visor mechanism features a smoke-tinted, anti-fog coating that maintains clear vision. A bottom-positioned control allows quick activation, while multi-step adjustment lets riders bring the visor closer for personalized shading. The helmet also supports second-generation Smart HJC Bluetooth systems. This all-in-one design integrates cleanly into the helmet, balances weight evenly, and preserves aerodynamic performance. Co-developed with SENA, the system complements the i71’s modern, rider-focused design.
